T his intensive course is aimed at doctoral students doing relevant research on international relations, defense and security policy (i. E. With a focus on N orthernE urope and/orR ussia).
 
T wenty five students from theN ordic countries, theB alticS tates and north-western
R ussia are invited to participate on the basis of open competition. T he course counts
as 6ECTS ,E uropean credit transfer system, and is held inE nglish. T he course consists of lectures, workshops with presentations of participants’ papers, and roundtable discussions.
 
T he course is funded by theN ordicA cademy ofA dvancedS tudy (N ordF orsk). O rganizers
will take care of the invited participants’ travel expenses, accommodation and
